The Lagos State Health District IV has held its annual management retreat with the theme, Reinforcing a Motivated and Responsive Workforce for Better, Healthcare Delivery in Health District IV.

The event attended by five Permanent Secretaries from the Lagos State Health Districts Heads of Departments, Medical Officer of health from the Local Government and Local Council Development Areas, unit heads and members of staff, focused on how to reposition the facility to a full healthcare delivery service provider.

Public Affairs Officer of Health District IV, while welcoming participants and acknowledging the presence of esteemed special guests, the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District IV, Dr Abimbola Bowale,expressed gratitude for their support, sense of dedication and due diligence.

 

Dr. Abimbola Bowale who doubles as the management team and heads of departments of various units in the district, expressed appreciation to the participants as well as pointing out that time management is important, the staff should ensure they work with time in all they do.

 

He said, “When you shine, you will be seen and get more opportunities.

 

“They need not rest on their oars but strive hard to raise the bar of the facility, at least to be positioned as a fully Healthcare delivery service provider.

The Permanent Secretary Dr. Bowale commended Dr. Eniola Erinosho who took the participants through the review Re-i forcing a motivating and responsive workforce for better healthcare delivery in our primary healthcare centre.

 

While speaking, the Special Adviser to the Governor of Lagos State on Health, Dr. Kemi Ogunyemi commended the management and acknowledged frontline workers by planning monitoring, training for them in order to improve them for quality healthcare delivery.

 

His words, “Contributions to the facility which without being economical with the truth were actualised by all of us here, but we need to be truthful to ourselves that we need to work harder to ensure that our primary healthcare centre fully positioned into motivated and responsive workforce for better healthcare delivery in Lagos State health district IV.
