The Nigeria Customs Service’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, “Customs Cares,” has brought joy to the Sagbokoji community with the successful renovation and commissioning of the Sagbokoji Nursery and Primary School. The event took place on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, and was led by the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR.
Renovation and Provision of Educational Materials
The renovated school now boasts improved infrastructure, providing a conducive learning environment for students. Additionally, the Customs Service provided school bags, pens, and other educational materials to support the students’ academic pursuits.
Healthcare Center
The Customs Service also built and equipped a healthcare center in the community, enhancing access to quality healthcare services for residents.
Commissioning and Community Impact
The commissioning ceremony marked a significant milestone in the Customs Service’s CSR efforts, demonstrating its commitment to giving back to the community. The Sagbokoji community expressed gratitude for the positive impact of the Customs Cares program.
Future Plans
The Comptroller-General of Customs reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to the community, announcing plans to establish a junior secondary school in the area. This initiative aims to further enhance educational opportunities for the community’s youth.
