Former Merchant Navy boss, Alalade Matthew emerges Deputy President of Institute of Export of Nigeria.

The immediate past President of Nigerian Merchant Navy Officers and Water Transport Senior Staff Association (NMNOWTSSA) Engr Alalade Matthew has promised to help the Institute of Export of Nigeria to achieve its goal of becoming a Council
He also promised.to canvass Seafarers to join the institute saying that seafarers by sailing to other countries, also export expertise and that there is need for them to be part of the Institute.
Alalade who was inducted as the Deputy President of the Institute in Lagos on Thursday, expressed happiness for the new position
According to him, it is another call to duty to humanity which he promised to achieve with fervour and enthusiasm.
His words, “I feel elted and happy because this is mother call to service for humanity.
“I have been a consistent member since 2010. Most of the people that we were inducted together then have gone back. The registrar saw our consistency that anytime we are called to duty, we are always there.
“The institute is into advising the government on export policies and regulations. The institute also trains students, we have a consult in Yaba College of Technology. We have trained thousands of Nigerians.
“I intend to help the Institute to make sure that the bill that will make it a council that has passed the second reading at the National Assembly to see the light of the day and as seafarer, to bring some of our members.
Engr. Alalade was inducted alongside Chief A. A. Igwobawho was inducted as the President while Mrs Asaolu Ibidun was inducted as the Treasurer. “
