LASWA hand over Liverpool jetty to private operators

The Lagos State Waterways Authority LASWA has officially handed over the Liverpool jetty in Apapa to Manuel Audrey Services Limited.
The ever busy jetty which was given a face lift recently, has been equipped with floating pontoon designed to safety of passengers.
With the handing over of the jetty to private operators, passengers can now use tye route to Ebute-Ero, CMS, Badagry, Sgbokoji and 3ven venture onto international routes like Port Novo.
According to a statement from LASWA on Tuesday, December 19, it officially handed over the Liverpool Jetty to Manuel Audrey Services Limited. The jetty is equipped with reliable floating pontoons, ensuring the safety of passengers during boarding and disembarking.
“This exciting development expands travel options significantly. With the Liverpool Jetty now under Manuel Audrey Services management, passengers can now embark to destinations such as Ebute-ero, CMS, Badagry, Sagbokoji, and even venture onto international routes like Port Novo.”
Recall that the On December 14th, LASWA formally handed over the Offin Jetty to GT Coop and the Ito-Omu Jetty to Ileoge Trading Enterprise. Both jetties are equipped with secure floating pontoons, ensuring safe embarkation and disembarkation for passengers.
This development opens up thrilling travel possibilities. From Offin Jetty, passengers can embark on journeys to Addax (Victoria Island), Falomo-Ikoyi, and Law School (Victoria Island). Simultaneously, the Ito-Omu Jetty offers convenient travel to Badore.
Similarly, on December 12th, LASWA also formally handed over the Ijegun Egba Terminal to 5-Grls Water Transport Services Limited and the Ilashe jetty to Femad Logistics. The Ijegun Egba Ferry Terminal is well-connected by road and includes amenities such as a park-and-ride system, a secure floating pontoon for passengers to embark and disembark safely, and a fuel dump.
