Igbo community confers ‘Agu-Na-Eche-Mba’ title on AIG Ali
...describes him as nondiscriminatory officer

The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AlG) Mohammed Ali has been described as a detribalized Nigerian man who loves every tribe and does not discriminate in his relationship as a senior officer, not minding one’s status.
The Chairman of Council of Ndieze in Lagos state and the Eze Ndigbo of Ijegun/ljedodo community, Eze C.C. Nwokedi stated that AlG Ali is a man that is committed and dedicated to duty and has performed credibly well as an astute police officer.
He went further to state that following his call to service to humanity, the council of Ndieze and the lgbo speaking community decided to confer on him chieftaincy title with one of the highest titles in lgbo land “Agu-Na-Eche-Mba” with an award as the best officer in 2023 in Lagos and Ogun state for what he had done to secure the states.
“AlG Ali is a man of peace and also a good man, he loves every tribe especially the lgbo speaking community, l have known him for years even when he was Divisional Police Officer, Apapa division and because of his outstanding qualities, we decided to give him this chieftaincy title so as to encourage him to continue his good works to humanity and for others to emulate him,” he said.
In the same vein, Eze Nwokedi honoured Prince Olasunkami lsmail Idowu as Nwanne Di Na Mba of Ndigbo as a demonstration of peace and unity that exists between the lgbos and Yorubas in ljegun/ljedodo community.
He noted that Prince ldowu, son to the traditional ruler of Ijegun, is a man who has used his potentials and creativity to bring the young people together in peace and unity, whether lgbo or Yoruba.
Eze Okpoko 1 urged the lgbos to always respect their host community, the traditional rulers, their culture and traditions so that they will get blessings from the land.
The President lgbo Speaking Community, Chief Udeh Sunday acknowledged the prowess of AlG Ali that he has displayed, maintaining that he deserves the chieftaincy and award bestowed on him because over the years, he has demonstrated that he is a detribalized man.
Chief Udeh commended Eze Nwokedi for what he has been doing by bringing the host community and the lgbo speaking community together and ensuring that the Ndigbo are protected, this he has shown by building bridges across the ethnic groups in Nigeria.
Responding, AlG Ali Mohammed of Zone 2, represented by Chief Chijioke Ozoro thanked Eze Chika Nwokedi for finding him worthy, stating that the chieftaincy title and award would spur him to do more while dedicating the award as the best security officer to the Nigeria Police force and the entire security agencies whose aim is to ensure that peace and unity is paramount in the country.
