Health development: Surulere LGA, Yaba, Itire-Ikate LCDAs promise improved medical provisions for communities 

 

 

In a continuous bid to improve the quality of the primary healthcare centres in Lagos State Health District IV, the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District IV, Dr Abimbola Bowale, and the management team paid a courtesy visit on Surulere Local Government, Yaba LCDA and Itire Ikate LCDA.

Oputeh Michael, Public Affairs Officer of Health District IV stated this in a statement on Thursday.

 

In the release made available to Monarchs News, the Chairman, Surulere Local Government, Hon. Sulaiman Bamidele Yusuf said the Council had done a lot in the area of health to improving the lives of the people

 

He maintained that the Local Government would continue to do more, by providing standard medical equipment and making drugs available in every facility for the benefit of the people.

 

Hon. Kayode Adejare Omiyale while speaking, noted that the Council recognises that a healthy community is the foundation of sustainable development.

 

“By improving the infrastructure, the Council is planning to build a world class standard hospital for the people of Yaba LCDA and provide standard equipment for operations

 

He added that he was ready to support and assist the Health District IV, so as to provide good and quality medical health care for the people living within the Council area.

In the same vein, Hon. Oluwafemi Odunayo showed gratitude to the Ministry of Health and the Primary Healthcare Board on the project  impact primary healthcare revitalisation of Airways primary healthcare centre.

 

He said the impact project was with the aim of enhancing access to quality healthcare services within the community, noting that health is key in his administration.

 

The Permanent Secretary of the Health District, Dr Abimbola Bowale, in his remark, expressed gratitude to the Chairmen for their supports and investment in the primary healthcare centres and the people of their communities.

 

The Permanent Secretary felicitated the Council Chairmen on their election and re-election victories.
