The General Manager, Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) on Monday, received official notification letter of the Shipping World Magazine 2024.
Elder Asu Beks who led some members of organising committee of the Maritime industry iconic diadem instituted over twenty years ago to drive industry best practices and excellence, informed the recipient that his choice for the Award is in recognition of his resilience and dedication to transforming a once set back organisation into an enviable and exemplary brown water regulator and service provider.
Responding, Mr Emmanuel said he was pleasantly surprised by the recognition, dedicating the Award to the governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide sanwo-0lu, and all the staff of LASWA.
His words, “I will continue to do my best for our people in Lagos and to all Nigerians. This is indeed very encouraging, and I thank the organisers for finding me worthy of this award. .
Other members of the organising committee on entourage of Elder Asu Beks are Mr Frank Meke, innocent Orok, and the president of WABOTAN, Mr Tope fajemirokun.
The Maritime Media Ltd Award comes up on the 15th of April, 2025, at the prestigious Oriental Hotel in Victoria Island, lagos.
