LASG donates automated chemistry analyser to two PHC in Heath District IV for improved Laboratory diagnosis.

 

 

In a decisive move to strengthen the primary Healthcare performance at the Primary Healthcare centres, Lagos State Government has donated a fully Automated chemistry analyser to Akerele primary Healthcare centre, Surulere Local Government and Olojuwon Primary Healthcare Centre, Apapa/Iganmu Local Council Development Area.

The two Healthcare Centres fall under the Health District IV

 

In a release by Oputeh Michael , Public Affairs Officer of Health District IV, the handing over ceremony held at the conference room of the Lagos State Health District IV

 

According to him, the ceremony was led by the Permanent Secretary, Health District IV, Dr. Abimbola Bowale, who said the initiative marked a new phase of the Theme Plus Agenda of Mr. Governor in the health sector in Lagos State.

 

Highlighting the functions of the analysers Dr. Abimbola Bowale said that, the chemistry analyser and Hematology will improve quality of Laboratory diagnosis as well as reduce the turnaround time, which is the basic and quality Healthcare services at the grassroots.

 

The Permanent Secretary said the chemistry analyser ran multiple tests for Liver functions, kidney functions, Urea , glucose and many other vital organs in the body within a short time, while Haematology analyser, ran full blood count within a short time.

 

The Permanent Secretary, acknowledged the support of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for improved quality Healthcare service delivery across all the primary Healthcare centres in Lagos State.
