...opens door for new entrants, aspirants for presidency, other positions in future elections.

The leadership of the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) has ratified the expulsion of sixteen Members for what it describes as gross misconduct and failure to appear before the disciplinary committee of the party
The decision was taken at a press conference held in Lagos on Tuesday, 30th January, 2024.
The sixteen members cut across 8 states and South West officials of the party.
The communique which was read at the conference by the Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Abdulrazaq Abdulsalam, the expelled members include; Dr. Tosin Odeyemi from Osun State, Mr. Peter Ologunokun from Ondo State, Prince Ibrahim Adekunle, Amb. Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, Mr. Olowu Olayemi, all from Ogun State.
Others are: Mr. Kazeem Badmus, Mr. Tunde Oke from South West, Barr. Femi Aina from Ogun West, Alhaji Sidi Bako from Nasarawa, Mr. Solomon Chukwu, Ebonyi State, Hon. Henfort Group from Plateau State.
Rtd. Col. Geoffrey Onyejegbu, PST. Ukachukwu, Stephen Onuigbo from Anambra state and Hon. Rex Onajite Ogboru, Mr. Fred Uwangue from Delta State.
Also contained in the communiques is distancing the party from any merger or alliance talk with any other political party
The party stalwarts warned anyone in such alliance with Senator Rafiu Musa Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the party in the 2023 general elections.
The leaders added that any merger or alliance talk should be channeled through the founder of the party, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam
Other items in the release include, passing of vote of confidence on the founder of the party and the Board of Trustees Chairman, Dr. Temitope Aluko and National Chairman of the party, Dr. Gilbert Agbo Major as well as the National Working Committee.
It further pleaded with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to update its record to accommodate Dr. Agbo Major as the National Chairman, Com. Oginni Olaposi Sunday as the the National Secretary, Dr. T. K. O. Aluko as the BOT Chairman, among others.
