LASWA hands over Ijegun Egba, Ilashe jetties to private operators

In its efforts to boost waterways transportation, the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) on Tuesday, handed over Ijegun Egba and Ibeshe terminals to private operators.
The state waterways agency which stated that the jetties were connected by roads, include amenities, among others, implored passengers to use the Ijegun Egba jetty for their journeys to Badagry Liverpool, Ibadan, Ojo, Better Eri and CMS.
The Ijegun Egba and Ilashe jetties were handed over to 5Grls Limited and German Logistics respectively.
“Today, December 12th, LASWA has formally handed over the Ijegun Egba Terminal to 5Grls Limited and the Ilashe jetty to Ferman Logistics.
“The Ijegun Egba Ferry Terminal is well-connected by road and includes amenities such as a park-and-ride system, a secure floating pontoon for passengers to embark and disembark safely, and a fuel dump.
“Excitingly, passengers can now embark on journeys to Badagry, Liverpool, IBASA, Ojo, Ebute Ero, and CMS from the Ijegun Egba Ferry Terminal.”
