Indigenous ship owners congratulate Tunji-Ojo; lauds Tinubu for making Maritime specialised ministry.

The Board of Trustees Executive Committee and members of the Nigerian Ship Owners Association (NISA) congratulate the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo on his recent appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a statement by NISA, the group described Tunji-Ojo ‘s appointment as well deserved.
The ship owners added that the appointment of the minister has been applauded by stakeholders across the sector
The statement signed by both the president and General Secretary of NISA, Otunba Sola Adewunmi and Otunba Rowaye Jubril, respectively, lauded the president for his listening ears to the call to make Maritime a
specialized ministry for the marine ecosystem potentials.
The shipping magnates also pledged their unalloyed to the president 3ven as they express confidence in his capacity to fulfil the vision and expectation of indigenous ship owners.
Text of the statement, “On behalf of the Board of Trustees, Executive Committee and entire members of the Nigerian Ship Owners Association (NISA), we wish to congratulate Hon. Olubunmi Tunji Ojo on his well-deserved appointment as the Hon. Minister of Marine & Blue Economy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“Your appointment has been well received and applauded by stakeholders in the maritime industry because Mr President has finally given a listening ear to the clamor of Maritime stakeholders for a specialized ministry for the marine ecosystem potentials.
“As an accomplished businessman and a seasoned administrator with a flourishing career in ICT, it is apparent that your appointment as the first Minister of Marine & Blue Economy will provide our country the opportunity to deploy the much needed technology to harness the huge potentials of the marine ecosystem.
“Your appointment is a clear testimony of the confidence that the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, his Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR repose in you to reposition the Nigeria maritime sector in line with his Renewed Hope Agenda.
