Merchant Naxy salutes Christians, Muslims at Ash Wednesday, Ramadan

The Nigeria Merchant Navy (grocers and Water Transport Senior Staff Association (NMNOWTSSA) has extended warm regards to Christians and Muslims as their lents begin today
In a release signed by Comrade Elder John Okpono Aleakhue,
Secretary General, NMNOWTSSA, the National President t of the union High Chief Bob Yousou emphasised the need for Nigerians to show love to one another especially as the fasting of both faiths coincide this year
The Merchant Navy boss said, “This period is a time to put aside ANGER and embrace CALM, let’s go of PAIN, HURT & HATRED and let forgive all wrongs. May we embrace simplicity and be deeply sorry and repent of our wrong doings.
“The season Seafarer prays that this sacred period of fasting and prayer strengthen our faith, purify our heart, and bring peace, mercy, and abundant blessings to our homes and Offices.”
High chief Bob asked God to accept the fasting and almsgiving and grant everyone good health and renewed strength throughout this holy month.
He wishes all Christians and Muslims faithfuls a very Happy ash Wednesday and Ramadan Kareem.
