The Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) recently played host to the management team of Greenview at the Union’s Secretariat in Olodi Apapa, Lagos. Led by the company’s General Manager, Mr. Yakubu Abdullahi, the visit was a gesture of solidarity to MWUN’s President-General, Comrade Francis Bunu Abi, following his election victory.
During the meeting, the Greenview management team congratulated Comrade Abi on his win, reaffirming their unwavering support for his leadership. They expressed confidence in his ability to promote workers’ welfare, citing his labour-friendly ideologies as a key factor in his resounding victory.
In response, Comrade Abi thanked the management for the visit and assured them that MWUN would continue to uphold its existing relationship with Greenview. He emphasized the Union’s commitment to protecting workers’ welfare, a priority that aligns with Greenview’s status in the maritime industry.
Comrade Abi urged the Greenview management to maintain its “Workers’ Inclusiveness” policy and prioritize the welfare of its workers. The meeting underscored the importance of collaboration between the Union and Greenview in promoting a harmonious and productive work environment.
