Easter: Maritime police calls for vigilance, compliance with law; assures stakeholders of adequate security

The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of the Maritime Police Command, AIG Musa Yusuf Garba, has assured users of port facilities across the country of robust security arrangements in the maritime industry.
He gave the assurance in his Easter message to all maritime stakeholders, business community and especially Christian faithful across Nigeria.
In a release by ASP Adebayo Rasheed, Police Public Relations Officer, Maritime police Command, the AIG confirmed that adequate human, material, and operational assets have been strategically deployed to ensure full coverage and safety on Nigeria’s inland waterways throughout and beyond the holiday season.
The police boss encouraged all citizens to celebrate responsibly, urging them to remain law-abiding and security-conscious.
He also appealed to the public and media professionals to avoid the spread of misinformation, emphasizing the importance of credible information in supporting public safety and national security.
“The Maritime Police Command remains committed to ensuring the safety of lives, property, and maritime operations during this festive season and always.”
