Amaechi heartbroken over attacks on Abuja-Kaduna train.
The honourable Minister of Transportation, Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi has expressed sadness over the attacks on Abuja-Kaduna on Monday
The minister visited the scene of the attack in company of the Minister of State for Transportation, Sen. Gbemisola Saraki and Minister of Police Affairs, Mohammed Maigari Dingyadisaid.
Recall that suspected bandits attacked the Abuja -Kaduna train where about three persons were feared dead as about 16 persons hospitalized
The whereabouts of some persons who were reportedly kidnapped during that attack are yet to be ascertained as at the time of this report.
The management of Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) has as a result of the attack, suspended operations of trains within the axis
But during his visit, Amaechi expressed displeasure over the attack but yet to make any definite pronouncement concerning the next step by the government.
Earlier in the day, President Muhammadu Buhari had a closed door meeting with service chief which many believe is in connection with the unfortunate incident.
On his Twitter handle, @ChibuikeAmaechi, the minister said, “I am devastated, heartbroken by what I saw on a visit to the site of the Abuja-Kaduna train attack in company of the Minister of State for Transportation, Sen. Gbemisola Ruqayyah Saraki and the Minister for Police Affairs, Mohammed Maigari Dingyadi.”
